The job

The AquaBrowser development team is looking for a senior test engineer to be responsible for quality assurance in building the next generation of search technology. Your tasks focus on manual and automated testing of the web user interface and the different API’s in the system (typically exchanging XML). We believe your role is a key factor in our success. The team uses the latest software development technologies and methodologies.

You will build a test environment, analyze designs, check product functionality against documentation, create automated tests, and maintain test ware. Furthermore, you ensure the rigidity and stability of each implementation, providing the client with a solid product.

You will be working in our office on the north bank of the IJ, near the NDSM-wharf, with a great view of the river. Fulltime (40 hr)

Your profile

  • Proven track record as a Test engineer.
  • Knowledge of user interface design.
  • Professional (HBO) / academic (WO) education in ICT (or equivalent knowledge).
  • Fluent in English, speaking Dutch is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in using test tools.
  • At least basic programming knowledge, understanding of TDD.
  • Experience with programming/scripting to automate testing tasks.
  • Familiarity with XML.
  • Hands-on, goal-oriented mentality.
  • Strong in communication.
  • Open personality with a healthy sense of humor.
